What decoration methods do you offer?

Our decoration methods are numerous and include pad printing, screen printing, embroidery, laser engraving, blind embossing, foil stamping, resin coated adhesive domes, heat transfers, sublimation & full colour labels. For more details on each please see below.

What is pad printing?

Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer an image to a product from an etched printing plate. Pad printing is one of the most practical and popular ways of branding promotional products due to its ability to reproduce images on uneven or curved surfaces and print multiple colours in a single pass. Typically used for products such as pens, rulers and drink bottles.

What is screen printing?

Screen printing involves forcing ink through a mesh screen with a squeegee onto the product or substrate and it is excellent for large print areas on flat or cylindrical objects. Typically used for products such as tote bags, t-shirts & stubby coolers.

What is embroidery?

The process of stitching your design onto material through the use of high speed, computer controlled sewing machines. Includes full colour designs at no extra charge. Typically used for products such as polo shirts, bags, jackets & headwear.

What is laser engraving?

Laser engraving gives a permanent finish and creates a higher perceived value than direct printing. It is ideal for metal and glass items and because it is a digital process can be used for personalising products and individual names. Different materials produce different effects when engraved. Typically used for products such as metal pens, keyrings & mugs.

What is blind embossing?

Blind embossing is where an image is stamped into a product without a colour. The image is pushed into the surface of an item and leaves a permanent impression. It is a subtle way of decorating leather and leather-look items such as compendiums or travel wallets.

What is foil stamping?

Foil stamping process uses heat and pressure to transfer colour from a coloured roll of foil to the product. Foil stamping can be applied to surfaces such as plastic, timber, leather, cardboard and paper & is most commonly used on compendiums & diaries.

What is a resin coated adhesive dome?

Resin coated adhesive domes produce a stunning 3 dimensional effect and elevates the perceived value of any product. Most commonly vinyl labels are resin coated which produces a very durable weather proof label that is almost indestructible. They can be printed in full colour and used very effectively to brand a large variety of products- there is no restriction on the products you can apply these to.

What is a full colour label?

Full colour labels are used for products with substrates that are difficult to print successfully with any other method. Full colour labels are either printed with a digital inkjet printer if they are vinyl or a digital printing press for paper labels.

What is a full colour heat transfer?Heat transfer are printed and cut to shape on a digital inkjet printer and then heat pressed onto the product to give a permanent bond. This process is commonly used to reproduce full colour images on textile surfaces and bags.

What is sublimation?

Sublimation is achieved by heat transferring a digitally printed full colour image from a paper transfer onto a product. This process can reproduce stunning, vivid, full colour graphics. Only certain surfaces and materials can be branded with sublimation printing. Typically used on stubby coolers and other neoprene products as well as team sportswear.

What are your artwork requirements?

A vector graphic is the ideal format to supply artwork as the majority of decorating processes including pad printing, screen printing and laser engraving can only use vector artwork.

Vector artwork can be supplied in the following file types:
• EPS- Encapsulated Post Script
• CDR- Corel Draw
• AI- Adobe Illustrator
• PDF- Portable Document Format

(Ensure artwork is converted to curves/paths to avoid font conflicts)
